The History

Rita, Julie and Andrew welcomes you to The Royal Oak in Chipping Sodbury.

The Royal Oak is a 17th century coaching house inn situated in the ancient market town of Chipping Sodbury at the foot of the Cotswolds.

For the last 40 odd years, The Royal Oak has been in the hands of Rita and her family and has established a high reputation for fine quality food in there beautiful restaurant but also as a live music venue where they get a variety of the top bands from the South West.

With a large open fireplace creating a cosy setting during the winter months and a beautiful covered courtyard for the summer, its no wonder why we are one of the busiest pubs in the area.
